Tamara Rodriguez
Tamara graduated from the Royal Ballet of Monterrey, Mexico in 2006 and has over 15 years of professional experience and training in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, theatre, contemporary, lyrical, modern, Latin, ballroom, and Mexican folk dancing. She has had an extensive world education in movement and is passionate about teaching her students to enjoy traditional discipline and “fall in love” with the art of dance. She began dancing at age three, and began her professional dance career at age 15. Her extensive movement work inspired her to introduce sharing the love of dance via teaching at age 16. Along with her digital classes, she currently teaches as a guest choreographer for San Marcos State University and Lynch Dance Institute. Her choreography work includes competitions, musicals, weddings and events, and television.
Tamara is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Berklee College of Music and has 15 plus years of experience as a professional vocalist and recording artist. Her approach to musical education focuses on her students’ individual goals and passions in music while incorporating an intimately designed plan that involves music theory, basic piano skills, solfege (sight reading), repertoire, pedagogy, meditation, audition prep, vocal therapy, breath work and much more.
Tamara has an extensive resume in theatre, television, commercial, songwriting, directing, and education. She values the individual’s musical journey and encourages them to focus on technique, specifically to gently peel off the layers that will then reveal their true voice. This technique is beneficial for anyone looking to improve or develop their public speaking abilities as well as performing on the world’s biggest platforms.
