Summer Intensive at LDI is a comprehensive responsible education full of personal accomplishment, joy and peer bonding.Lynch Dance Institute’s Ballet intensive includes exceptional instruction in Ballet, Pre-Pointe or Pointe, classical and/or contemporary repertoire, anatomically responsible stretch and conditioning, Yoga, and seminar classes. We adore our summer intensive’s because we can really make a profound impact on each student.

Ballet Technique with Betsy Cooper 

Betsy Cooper is Professor and Chair of the Department of Dance, California State University, Long Beach. Cooper was Dean of The Hartt School, University of Hartford, from 2016-2018. She worked at the University of Washington, the state’s flagship campus, from 2001-2015, first directing its Dance Department and then serving as Divisional Dean of Arts in the College of Arts & Sciences.

WEEK TWO: july 15 - july 19: 12-5pm

Ballet Technique with former New York City Ballet Principal, Jenifer Ringer

Jenifer was promoted to principal dancer of the New York City Ballet in 2000 and originated roles in new works by numerous choreographers including Jerome Robbins, Alexi Ratmansky, Christopher Wheeldon and Peter Martins.

Ballet Technique 

Ages 8 and Up 

Taught by LDI faculty member Caryn Ipapo-Glass and guest faculty member Audrey Baran, LDI’s Contemporary Dance Intensive offers dancers of all disciplines the opportunity to expand their knowledge and performance of contemporary and modern dance styles. Dancers will engage in daily technique classes in addition to exploring dance composition, full body maintenance and conditioning, dream defining and goal setting, and choreography.

Audrey Baran is a dance performer, maker, and educator based in Charlotte, North Carolina. She holds a BA in Dance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a MFA in Dance from Hollins University. As the founder and artistic director of Baran Dance and the apprentice company, BD2, Audrey is dedicated to broadening perceptions and accessibility of contemporary dance.
